I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the hotel facilities were well-maintained. I was impressed by the location in a local neighborhood, which gave me a unique and authentic experience. Moreover, being right on the beach was a huge plus, as I enjoyed the stunning views and easy access to the water. Additionally, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction, providing excellent service throughout my stay.
There was nothing I didn't like.

The $30 us rate per night was quickly diminished with taxi fares because the hotel is located too far from . . . well, everything. The room key was very hard to use, the toilet didn't flush (I fixed it myself at no charge), the shower drizzled water and there was no hint of room service the entire 4 days I stayed there. If your looking for Spartan-extreme at a low rate and don't care how far you have to walk, this may well be the place for you . . . but not for me. Pay an extra $30 us and stay closer to town.

Great value for money and friendly staff. the rooms were clean and comfortable with functional air conditioning. the pool area was nice and there was a cozy bar where we spent some evenings chatting with the staff and locals. the location was just a short walk to the beach with beautiful views, and there were affordable food options nearby.
The location was a little far from the main town, and taxis were necessary to get around. the shower water pressure in some of the rooms was not consistent, which was a bit inconvenient.

I experienced a very comfortable and enjoyable stay while lounging at Belize Hutz and have highly referred this hotel to my entire family and friends. Clean rooms that are reasonably priced for someone that’s traveling solo or for a family that’s on a budget. The hotel is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the downtown area. The Hutz Grill chef prepared some of the best islander’s favorites and had me craving for more. The entire staff, especially, the owner’s sister was very friendly, sociable, and attentive towards making my first time visit to this Island, a memorable one.

Location was away from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro, but close enough to walk. An easy walk to the beaches, bars and dive shops. Staff was very friendly and helped with dive bookings. Bike was available for rental. Cosy bar and pool area.
Got a bit noisy some evenings, but with the A/C on, I was able to sleep. Would have been nice to have at morning coffee and evening snacks available for purchase, although they were available close by.

This hotel exceeded all expectations with its amazing customer service. The staff members went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fantastic time during our stay. They took us on a tour of the local area, showing us the best clubs, restaurants, and social areas. It felt like we were the only ones there and their attention to detail made us feel like valued guests. The friendly staff, along with the delicious food, contributed to an unforgettable experience.
All in all, everything was satisfactory.

I would not recommend Belize Hutz to any traveler - in order to turn on the lights in our room, you had to pull on a short chain attached to the ceiling fan which anyone on the shorter side would not be able to pull even when standing on the bed, one of the lights was broken, there was no hot water in the sink, a rip in the shower curtain and the shower is a single stream of water. There is AC, but the wifi didn't work in our room. The hotel itself is way out of the main city, which is a short taxi ride away but a long walk.

Price. The room the was great. Location ok, is in a residential area, if staying again I would probably stay more central to the town or north of the bridge. Staff really friendly and helpful. Has a pool, a bar, is cheap, what more can I say. We were pack baking and watching our budget so this was ideal.
Only criticism is the loud R&B music all day long. It does stop at 11pm each night but was grinding after a while. Other than that, all good here.

The staff was friendly and the location was decent, close to a beach and within walking distance to town. The room was clean and had air conditioning and a hot shower. The bar by the pool was a fun place to hang out with good drinks.
The loud music blaring from 8am until late at night was unbearable and ruined any chance of relaxation. , the room was small and lacked amenities such as a mini-fridge or coffee maker.

Location requires a taxi to get there and it is not near any services including restaurants. The road is bumpy and the area is rough. There was no hot water or any services except checking in. I would not recommend this place.

Very nice and helpful staff and big room with AC.
Well at the beginning the room was quite clean, but they didn't even once clean the room, bathroom or take the rubbish out in 4 days . . .

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel in the heart of a local neighborhood on Ambergris Caye. The hotel's location was perfect for those of us seeking an authentic experience away from the main tourist areas. The value for money was unbeatable, with affordable prices that allowed me to enjoy a long and relaxing stay.
All in all, my experience at this hotel was fantastic.

We liked the hutz, which were quite nice.
The kitchen staff which were there only cooked 2 or 3 things which were abit average looking. The place was realy far from everything which was abit of a problem, also there was not much in the immidiate area.

Absolutly nothing about the hotel. The desk clerk and cook were nice, and made an effort to compensate for the lack of management.
1.Cell-like, stark room.No wall decoration. 2.Noise from the bar.Pool till very late. 3.Incompetent "managers." 4.Exterior is rundown. 5. Significant distance from town. 6.Long walk for dive pick up at Banyon Bay. 7.Lack of any services. 8.Surrounding area is a dusty street . 9.Difficult to get a cab to show up. 10.The staff unable to follow through on "wake up" requests. 11.NO REFUND policy and total prepayment for this dump. 12.Barking dogs all night. 13.Noise from people walking on the shabby deck at night. 14.Junk on the property stored in sight. 15.Overpricing. 16.My room bore no resemblance to any advertisement photos. 17.Toursit/internet trap at a much higher price then on the beach. 18.No hairdryer;no shampoo;no phone,no bedside lamp. The wall socket covers were coming off the walls. 19.30-40 minute walk to town. 20.Not one staff member asked if I "enjoyed my stay." Nobody really cared after the payment was confirmed.
